We also (finally) hit up Bar Ferdinand’s Monday half-price-bottle-of-wine thing. The results? Grand. I mean, where else can you score a bottle of Dominio de Tares ‘Albares’ Bierzo and Osborne ‘Solaz’ Shiraz Tempranillo for a combined total of $30? Oh, Total Wine, you say? But isn’t that in New Jersey and isn’t it illegal to take it across the bridge? Shhh, what we do is secret. But it’s not just us that’s breakinthelawbreakinthelaw. The above-mentioned Ferdinand was also (and like many others, we suspect) rocking a mongrel Center City Restaurant Week menu. Though it may all feel like one gang to you, strangely, Northern Liberties is excluded from CCRW festivities. Talk of NoLibs Restaurant Week is already underway, but the last time the people of NoLibs actually agreed on something was, well, never. That has never happened.
