Sooner or later, we’re going to get around to posting about the trend of advertising on pizza boxes — one place in our ‘hood has these disturbing blue boxes that shill for Washington Mutual, which have the odd effect of making getting a pizza feel like getting a bank statement. But on the way flipside of that, there are these pizza boxes, which were silkscreened to promote local DJ team Philadelphyinz’s upcoming gig in Providence, RI. This, on the other hand, is one trend we can get behind; for years, that big square box has been crying out for something a little more compelling than “Hot, Delicious Pizza.” I mean, let’s be honest: If these things are gonna be hanging out by the kitchen trash can until trash day, they might as well look nice.
