This week CP dissects our state’s refusal to let wine be shipped here from other states, leading to this priceless quote from a guy at the Wine Library in Jersey: “We can’t due to dumb laws in PA.” Otherwise the story’s informative and well-rounded but a bit dry and sort of beating a dead horse: Our liquor laws suck. (BTW: A more comprehensive piece ran in Pittsburgh‘s Post-Gazette recently.) So until those crusty old laws change, let’s just thank our lucky stars we live in the part of the Keystone State that borders Jersey and Delaware. Because, folks, right now that’s all we’ve got.
