A woman (we think it’s a woman) on PhillyBlog is claiming to have spoken directly with the owner of Bread, and is reporting that the restaurant is opening this friday at 23rd and Wallace, not on Fairmount as originally rumored. · Not such a happy day for Capriccio. One of the earlier espresso bars in Center City has closed its doors. David Wagaman, the owner since 1994, lost the lease and shut down Sunday night with plans to reopen in a “high-profile location” sometime in the very near future. Funny enough, the newly vacant space will be filled with a coffee bar called “The Coffee Bar”. [FoodAndDrinq]
