Main after 2am. Since there is no more Nick's on W. Main, there are no more garbage plates. Anything else is just a recycled plate.

I have and will always argue that there is no such thing as a garbage plate unless it’s bought at Nick’s on W. Same goes for the garbage plate - if you want an imitation, go to Philly - but all you'll get is an imitation.BTW... Fairport Hots has a fantastic Garbage plate. :)M

Nobody makes Cheesesteaks like Philly, NYC Pizza is best in NYC, and Lobster Rolls are fantastic on the Northeast Shore. We here in Rochester do not go around ordering "Philly Style Cheesesteaks". Why? Because we know nothing can beat a Philly original.
What's next? The Ugly American selling Poutine just like in Canada! The Ugly American selling Baltimore Blue Crabs steamed with old bay and a crappy beer?
If you want a real garbage plate, drive up to Rochester. And I don't recommend that you go to Nick's. Ask around, try a few.

Seriously? Come up with something more original at least. I expected more from you Philadelphia.<br

Mustard is, as is "hot sauce" (which is more a garlicky, meat-paste grease). I think a mustard reduction is an interesting take on the mustard and "hot sauce" standards. This has been on my list to try for a while. Plates used to be part of my standard diet, probably 3-4 of them a week.

Ketchup isn’t part of the Garbage Plate, unless you put it on yourself from the bottle at your table. Yours is like having a hot fudge sundae and replacing the hot fudge with a pan mustard sauce. Not the same. If you're going to bring the Garbage Plate to Philly, do it justice.

Take that!? The ketchup up is the best part!
