Wait a sec, cream filled. Mine wasn’t cream filled. I didn’t notice if it said so on the wrapper, being curious by how they’re gonna pull off “pancake.” Was I robbed or are there two limited edition varieties. Now I gotta go out in the rain to check my Korean Deli.

I wasn’t drunk at all. I got a pack as a sober lunch apertiff, and I swear my first sample had no cream. I actually paid specific attention to the cakey portion of the krimpet because I was curious whether they were going to flavor the cake a la the maple infusion subjected to McDonald’s McGriddle and Wawa’s knockoff of that breakfast sandwich (and was disappointed that Tastey didn’t “go there”). Yesterday I did indeed get a pack that was labeled and truthfully cream injected.

I’m irked that every Wawa and convenience joint I’ve checked out seems well stocked with these krimpets but completely out of strawberry shortcake jr.s. My jury’s still not out on that one.

I have decided that these puppies are dynamite. Pancakelectible!

I spent about a week eyeing them distrustfully. A week warming up to the idea. And now I have spent now a week or so eating them like they are going out of style.

If you close you eyes you could swear you were wolfing down pancakes.

Or maybe I am just really easily fooled.

Either way, I win.
