First Look: Eric Ripert’s 10Arts

Last night, we mixed it up at the opening of the highly anticipated 10Arts by überchef Eric Ripert. While the hash was not challenging, the drinks were sexy and slick. I was hoping for a little more from the man who makes the meanest remoulade in NYC, but receptions are usually drenched with simple bites for simple people. Nonetheless, he was disarmingly charming and a gracious host, to be sure. The one thing we didn’t get: Why was the set from Tron in the lobby of the Ritz-Carlton? Oh, that’s the decor? Hm. We’d still let him pimp our BBQ. After the jump, peep a clutch of photos, and stay tuned for an interview with Ripert coming soon on Phoodie.

Glowing red is the new sexy.

No French experience is complete without baguettes. Or Eric Ripert.

Brian Freedman and Collin Flatt

This man should pour everyone’s Veuve Clicquot. All. The. Time.

All the drinks were named for famous Philadelphians. W.C. Fields, Andrew Wyeth, and Thomas Eakins were all given liquid respect.

Dessert.

Superfly drinks need superfly presentation. Check.

Cooking on the Red Planet

The smoldering goodness of Eric Ripert. Collin can’t hide his exuberance
and/or man crush.

Lemon Meringue and Cheesecake.

A good raw bar is hard to find.

Ice sculpture, decidedly not Tron-like.

The wine cellar is unfuckingbelievable.

These folks might have gone through the Stargate, but we weren’t sure.
