· Naked Chocolate Cafe is delicious, but you know what is even more delicious? Another Naked Chocolate Cafe! A second location will be opening at 18th Street between Market and Chestnut [Food and Drinq].
· Speaking of delicious, Chipotle is breaking all the rules by sourcing produce from local growers. Starting soon Chipotle will purchase 25 percent of at least one produce item for each of its stores from local farms. This means that they are the only fast food chain to jump on the ‘buying local’ bandwagon, but with locations in Philadelphia and Ardmore, a lot of produce used will be bought from the surrounding Philadelphia area. Most of the local produce bought will include lettuce, tomatoes, onions and peppers. Eat up, locavores. [NY Daily News]
· It’s Thursday and you know what that means. It’s time to run and drink because The Fishtown Beer Runners are out and about. Every Thursday night runners meet up in Fishtown and set out to drink some beer, in the name of science. They are testing if it is more beneficial to drink beer instead of water after a long run. Because Fishtown needs more public drunks running around. [Foobooz]
