This past Saturday were the last qualifiers to gain a place at the legendary Nathan’s Famous hot-dog eating contest at Coney Island. The event will be televised live on ESPN (not EPSN as stated on Philly.com) at noon this Friday, the 4th. Of all the Philadelphia contestants that competed in Camden, only one will be at Coney Island this year. “Humble” Bob Shoudt of Royersford gobbled 38 Nathan’s hot dogs to qualify.
Funny enough, this world ranked champion eater is a vegetarian outside of competitive eating. Even better, he boasts to be a better burger eater than hot dogs. This will be Shoudt’s third straight appearance at Coney Island, and he plans to just have some fun and enjoy the day. He is more concerned about training for the Krystal Square Off V, a burger contest in Tennessee this October.

A vegetarian competitive hotdog eater is like straight guys who do gay pr0n for the money.
