· University Dining Days must have been mighty good to Rx because the restaurant is keeping a three course prix-fixe dinner, for only $30, for the rest of the year. [Foobooz]
· Le Bec-Fin is closing for a little bit to do some remodeling. Earlier this year they re-vamped their menu, and now it’s time for some fresh paint. The dining room, which hasn’t changed in seven years, will be closed for two weeks in late October for the changes to be made. Also, the downstairs bar is going to be getting a face lift as well. There will banquette seating as well as a new, more classic menu. [Food and Drinq]
· Attention all Whole Foods shoppers: There has been a recall on ground beef sold at Whole Foods Market that made customers sick in two states. The tainted beef was delivered from a processing plant that Whole Foods had supposedly not approved. The recall comes as a harsh blow to the company, that has been trying to spruce up it’s store image as a way to fight the recent slow sales. [NYT]
