Normally, any place serving $10 drinks means one thing: We’re not going because some posturing barkeep is doling out 1 oz of Stoli for some high-concept sucktastic swill. In the case of local überstud and Celebrichef Eric Ripert, we see it as a call for help. When they opened, you paid $17 for your drink, and YOU LIKED IT. But, after resoundingly mediocre reviews have appeared in papers and mags city-wide, we’ve realized Le Bernardin, this ain’t. Yes we know the concept isn’t the same, even so, LaBan’s review only rang out 2 bells, and you know he was dying to fellate a solid 3 bells at least. Hopefully this means that any other superstar Chef out there eyeing up Philly as a landing spot will know they can’t half-ass it with us as Ripert obviously did. We’re discerning assholes with sharp palates, we know crap when we see it.
But there is good news. We all make out with drink specials (and the drinks are solid, to be sure) and free scotch.  Full press release after the jump.Â

Presenting Hand Crafted Cocktails and Impromptu Goodies After Work and Beyond
Â
(PHILADELPHIA-October 10, 2008) A Perfect Ten. The pinnacle of perfection. When it comes to cocktails, there is no better place than the 10 Arts’ bar and lounge, and there is no better way to unwind after work than with one of 10 Arts’ signature Perfect 10 cocktails…or maybe two. Each and every night from 5-7 p.m., Perfect 10 cocktails are priced at $10 each. And if that isn’t enough to whet the whistle, an extra $10 surprise concoction will be offered each and every evening—devised daily by one of 10 Arts’ master mixologists.
Â
It’s not just the drinks that are surprising at the bar and lounge at 10 Arts. For those staying on for dinner at 10 Arts or joining friends and colleagues for a later libation, often, sometime between 8:30 and 9 p.m., guests are treated to a taste of Chef Jennifer Carroll’s menu in the form of chewy soft pretzel nuggets or another one of her delicious snacks or Pastry chef Monica Glass’ bread pudding or another luscious concoction. Or, don’t be shocked if 10 Arts’ Manager, David Weiss offers a choice of premium Scotch, Champagne or beer. These impromptu tastings change daily at the whim of the 10 Arts team, and are on the house.Â
Â
10 Arts’ Perfect Ten cocktails each pay homage to an artist—painters, actors, musicians movies and patrons–that has had a tie to, or has lived in or has been a native of Philadelphia. Honored artisans include WC Fields, Andrew Wyeth, Thomas Eakins, Mary Cassatt, Gamble & Huff, The Barrymores, Marion Anderson, Alexander Calder, Henry McIlhenny and the movie, The Philadelphia Story. Of course these are just a few of the many well known and accomplished artists who have ties to the City of Brotherly Love—the restaurant honors all in spirit, every sip bringing guests a little closer to Philadelphia’s rich artistic history and to the debut of 10 Arts by Eric Ripert.
Â
10 Arts is located at Ten Avenue of the Arts in Philadelphia. Lounge hours are Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. and 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. 10 Arts restaurant is open for breakfast Monday-Friday from 6:30-11 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 7-noon; lunch Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; and dinner Monday-Saturday from 5-10 p.m. For reservations and further information, call 215-215-523-8221 or visit www.10arts.com.
