A place that we can admit now with utter, red-faced shame that we’ve never written about — save for this Wine Week pick — is Little Fish, the teeny tiny BYOB at Sixth and Catherine. SHAMEFUL, I tell you, especially when people have been buttonholing us for years — literally, YEARS! WHAT is wrong with us? — and saying in whispered voices how it’s their Favorite Restaurant of Ever. Luckily, the sting of never being glorified on Phoodie.info will be made up for, somewhat, by this blurb in Bon Appetit‘s List Of Best Seafood Restaurants
3. Little Fish, Philadelphia
“Big things are happening at this minnow-size, open-kitchen, B.Y.O.B. In South Philly. Credit goes to new chef-owner Michael Stollenwerk, who’s responsible for such dishes as halibut with English pea spaetzle and scallop nage, and crab sausage with fennel and citrus salad. On Sundays, there’s a $28 five-course prix fixe that’s a steal.”
But wait, the shame only grows! (How very Philadelphian.) Just take a gander at the current entrees:
· Mahi Mahi, sweet potato puree, vandouvan, pear, watercress
· Skate, truffled spaetzle, parmesan broth, melted leeks
· Monkfish, celriac, pearl onion, english peas, chanterelle, roasted chicken jus
· Striped Bass, brussel leaves, oyster mushroom, butternut squash, grain mustard
· Surf & Turf, braised pork cheek, white tuna, parsnip puree, fennel-orange salad, star anise jus
Lord, I am not worthy to receive you; just make a reservation, and we shall be healed.

While I agree with BA I am heart broken. I love Little Fish and recommend it frequently. I have never understood how I could frequently get a same day reservation for the justly famed Sunday fixed-price dinner.
This is great for them and bad for the local. Congratulations to Little Fish.
