It’s that time of year again, folks — let us renew once again the debate over turkeys. Do you get all wild and deep-fry that bastard? Or do you go traditional? Or is tofurkey your steez? And don’t even kid me with that turducken, because no food should ever start with the letters T-U-R-D. But the big kahuna of all of these debates — and a worthy one — is, do you go Purdue like mom did, or rock a free-range, locally raised bird? We’ve had great experiences with both, of course. And bad, for that matter, as most Thanksgiving turkeys are simply the vessel; it’s the love that makes ‘em good.
