After beasty 2000, 2003, and legendary 2005 vintages, we were due for some thin fruit. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy this wine. Because of the short vinification and bottling process, these wines don’t change much year-to-year. Always tasting of big raspberry fruit and smelling of bananas because of whole-berry maceration, Nouveau is an oddity that fights the convention of modern winemaking techniques.
