Deadliest Catch Crab Legs Now Available At McCormick And Schmick

earlydawn.jpgA Friday afternoon hankering for king crab legs led us straight into the chain beast that is McCormick & Schmick last week. And while joints like this are always a mixed blessing — in McCormick’s case, this means what is actually a really great Maryland crab soup but, by contrast, a frightful corporate vibe and weak bar-food apps — we were surprised to notice that king crab legs currently on offer come from none other than the Early Dawn from TV’s Deadliest Catch. They’re 40 bucks a pound, but at least you can sup easily knowing that some truly compelling sweat and labor went into grabbing these babies out of the Bering Sea. So how were they? Meh. But if 40 bucks is what it costs to force my friends listen to me drone on about how I really would love to be a crab fisherman in the Bering Sea and how I probably would not die on my first outing, so be it. Money well spent.

“Meh” pretty much describes every experience I have had at M&S. When clients want to have lunch there, I cringe. They require gimmicks like this to get people in the door.

I think oceanaire recently had crab legs from the deadliest catch boat too.
McCormick pretty much sucks, but they do have really cheap food during happy hour.
