On the off chance you missed Fresh Air yesterday — we would lay down cold hard cash that more than 90% of you Phoodies are regular Terry Gross radioland visitors (not that there’s anything wrong with that) — take a listen to yesterday’s session with Dorothy J. Gaiter and John Brecher, the lovely couple behind the Wall Street Journal‘s “Tastings” column. For neophytes to novices, they are the most plain-spoken resource about vino this side of our own Collin Flatt, though sadly, less profane. On Fresh Air, the couple dish on everything from how “you’re taking your life into your own hands” when you order wine by the glass, and also, some telling overlaps with Flatt: They big up Piper Heidseick and Cava, which our man told you about all the way back in March. Great minds, they think alike.
