God we love the rare instance when a food event actually has a decent logo.
Hey, we live and work in Fishtown, so don’t tell us that the idea of a Fishtown Restaurant Week sounds strange to you. We’re the ones who’ve been living on Arctic Splash and Zayda’s Pickles and Pizza Pretzels since the 1970s. But as you all know, quite possibly thee single most tremendous aspect of the Port Fishington gentrification of the last few years has been the neighborhood’s gradual influx of real, actual food that does not come in styrofoam. We’re talking Bistro Juliana, Ida Mae’s Bruncherie, Jovan’s Place, O’Reilly’s Pub, Sketch Burger, Hot Potato Café, Hinge Café, Cassizzi’s Pizzeria, Johnny Brenda’s Tavern, Green Rock Tavern, Mercer Cafe, and so on here, all of whom will participate in the first-ever Restaurant Week in Fishtown/Port Richmond/East Kensington, from Saturday, April 25 to Thursday April 30. (Also on the list: The soon-to-open Pickled Heron on Frankford Ave., with Ritz-Carlton alums Todd Braley and Daniela D’Ambrosio at the helm. We are super curious about this one.) At any rate, Fishtown knows how to take ‘er easy, and our Resto Week will be different in that regard; as opposed to the $35 norm, each eatery will have a price-fix menu or menu options from $10-$30. We do recession right over here. More details are forthcoming here on Phoodie, as well as www.riverwardrestaurants.com, which doesn’t seem to be live yet. As we say here in the Fish, yeoooooooowe!

Awesome!
