Each Monday beginning March 16, semifinalist for James Beard Award‘s Rising Star Chef of the Year and Best Chef Mid-Atlantic, Blackfish chef Chip Roman will be creating a four-course Chef’s Tasting Menu for $45 per person. Each week will focus on a specific ingredient and he’s beginning with Porcini. The dinner will comprise Porcini Mushroom Cappuccino, Seared Day Boat Scallops (porcini mushrooms, smoked balsamic), Steelhead (porcini mushrooms, coco beans, red zinfandel), and Chocolate Soup and will be served from 5:00PM – 10:00PM.
For your Cute Chef fix throughout your tight-walleted week, Blackfish is bestowing upon us a two for $12 lunch menu, from which you pick — you guessed it — two things for twelve dollars. The menu includes, as appetizers, Soup du Jour, Caesar Salad, and Simple Mixed Greens; entrees, Chicken Pot Pie, Agnolotti, and Cobb Salad; and deserts, Creme Brulee, and Molten Chocolate Cake.Â
So for those of you who haven’t made it to Blackfish yet, it’s getting to be the time. Tell Chip we said hi. And then let us know if he says anything back. And, like, see if he blushes or anything.Â
