Don’t forget people, the bottom line is we are Americans and have freedom of choice. No dirty hippie in leather shoes and belt telling us not to harm animals, is going to tell me what i can and can’t eat! Go get a shower hippies, you smell like a dead animal!

mean spirited? have you seen what the hugs for puppies people did to the restauranteurs? and giving $5 specials on foie gras is mean spirited? lolol.

I am a foodie. I eat foie gras maybe two times a year. I know that the geese in foie gras production are treated much better then your average grocery store egg layer or white breast chickens. Spend your energy defrauding that industry!
But I have to admit this counter campaign seems some what mean spirited and I want no parts of it.

Laughably trivial, this Foie Gras kerfuffle–even if they’re right, they’re wrong. The impression left is not that of sensible, compassionate people, but a platform for posturing crypto-Puritans and self-appointed hall monitors who wish to appear conspicuously pious. One gets the sense that the animals are little more than an abstraction upon which they can hang their moral vanity. If anything, their antics only encourage more foie gras consumption: Nobody likes to have a priggish finger wagged in their face.

Anyone truly serious about the ethical implications of their eating habits would stop eating sushi, the harvesting of which is stripping our oceans bare and driving many species to extinction. That’s where the real fight is.
