In a late night drunken discussion regarding comfort food during Beer Week, a challenge was laid down. ‘My Mac and Cheese will own yours.’ was the sentiment. Curses were spewed like fire, and folks almost came to blows.
Stop by the P.O.P.E. on April 1st at 6PM to see your favorite local breweries bring the Mac with a food smackdown of Cheesy Proportions. Each contestant must devise a brilliant version of the classic dish using one of their brews and any God given talents with pans and fire.
It’s free to attend, and there will be samples aplenty, along with a panel of judges to decide the winner. But you’ll have a say, too, my friends. The People’s Choice is not often the Critic’s Choice, so go support your favorite brewery as they crown a King or Queen Of Comfort Food in the lovely confines of our favorite Souffilly watering hole.
