O HAY-IM! Celebrate Passover At Alison Two And Zahav

passover_pesach022In case you didn’t get that, that’s “O hai!” and “Lekhayim!” put together. Passover is around the corner, and your schedule is way too meshugeh to host your own dinner. Well, if you mosey on over to Fort Washington to Alison Two or Philly’s modern Israeli restaurant/Phoodie Magafave Zahav, you can esen mitik (that’s Yiddish for nom nom nom–or eat) and then some.

At Alison two, Chef Alison Barshak will be serving Passover dinners on the first two nights of Passover — that’s Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9. She’ll be serving Matzoh Ball Soup, Gefilte Fish, Salmon Charoset, and Chicken or Beef Short Ribs for dinner. The dessert menu will feature chocolate covered Matzoh, homemade marshmallows, and more. Kosher wine with traditional parsley, horseradish, egg, and lamb shank will also be available for group Seder meals.

At Zahav, Chef Michael Solomonov will be featuring at a very special prix-fixe menu of traditional fare from April 8 until April 15. The menu will cost $42 per person, and showcases classic dishes prepared in Solomonov’s unique, fresh, modern style. This menu will include Hand-Made Matzoh with hummus and salatim, Yemeni-Stye Matzoh Ball Soup, Hot-smoked Sable with Sephardic Charoset, Coffee-Braised Brisket with horseradish and truffled potato kugel. For dessert there will be Chocolate-Matzah Torte served with red wine. Reservations are encouraged but not required.

It’s totally bashert that you’ll have a good Seder this year. Happy Passover ya’ll! Oh, and that’s Yiddish for for sure.
