As we mentioned earlier, Kensington, Fishtown, Port Richmond Resturant Week fast approaches and Phoodie/info is proud to announce that we’re its official media sponsor. KFPRRW (it sounds like a sexy growl!) runs from May 1st-6th and promises to leave both our wallets and our bellies happy and full. Participating restaurants include: Bistro Juliana, Cassizzi’s Pizzeria, Green Rock Tavern, Hinge Cafe, Hot Potato Cafe, Ida Mae’s Bruncherie, Johnny Brenda’s, Jovan Place, Mercer Cafe, New Wave Cafe, O’Reilly’s Pub, and Sketch Burger. Five years ago, who would’ve thought these three neighborhoods would be representing so deliciously that one week seems too short to squeeze them all in? Way to go K-Town, Fishtown, and Port Richmond. Participating resto’s specials are already posted, but seriously, where to start? Sketch Burger is a fat kid’s wet dream. Hand cut fries, a two topping gourmet burger washed down with ice cream for $15 is enough to make any pair of overgrown pectorals jiggle in gluttonous anticipation. Ida Mae’s is a hangover’s worst nightmare. Brunch there is everything you that you could possibly want (minus the booze); with potatoes that would make any Irishman blush and omlettes that have the power to make you cry in joy, it definitely should be one of your stops during this week. (Plus when you’re done your meal you can walk a block down the street and throw rocks at the Philebrity office windows.) As May approaches, stay with us for more coverage and recommendations.

1. Will reservations be necessary?
2. Is there a list of the restaurants and ADDRESSES/Phone #’s or email/Fax # so we can contact them for reservations?
3. Will there be a copy of the menu’s from the restaurants available to review on line?
4. Will dress be completely casual (jeans & shirts) or a little more upscal, business casual (slacks and Tops/sweaters)?
