We can already tell this is going to be the stupidest video game ever created.
The Grumpy Old Man knock on many Wii games, of course, is that you can do many of the things in Wii games in real life just as easily as you would with the games themselves. Wanna play soccer? Get outside and burn some calories, kid. Golf? You can get a driver and a net on the cheap, and get some exercise. But the pinnacle of Useless Wii Games has got to be Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked, slated to be released next fall for the Wii in an apparent round of licensing gone very. very wrong. Here, you’ll be able to do things you never knew you wanted to do, like virtual potato peeling, and, uh, Wii-mote seasoning, as depicted above. Gamer site Joystiq has a sneak peek, and it only gets less impressive. On the upside, there’s gotta be a “Grease Fire” level where we can finally get Emeril in just the scenario we’ve always imagined.
