As you might expect, Philly Beer Week, that little ol’ beer festival that quickly blossomed into the country’s single largest beer event, will be back next year. And bigger. But the big change we’re learning of today is that Beer Week is moving to June — specifically, Friday, June 4 to Sunday, June 13, 2010, like any good blockbuster should. (Beer Week has traditionally been in the very meh-y month of March.) Promised for the ’10 lineup will be “annual festivals, bike races, meet the brewers nights and hundreds of other events,” sayeth the press release, with obviously more details to come. Our advice? Start dieting now. For in three glorious days the June after next, you are sure to blow it all. Cheers!
