Amidst all the new openings in developer Bart Blatstein’s increasingly cuisine heavy portfolio, it looks like we may have a closing on our hands. Swallow, located on Liberties Walk, seems to have closed down once again — even though its most recent all mac-n-cheese menu was notable and lauded, rumors of a permanent vacation for the tiny BYOB seemed to be consistently in the air. While one reader tips us off that the place is gone for good and that a new owner plans to revamp the place with more traditional bistro fare, the voicemail that picks up when you call Swallow says that they’ll be open the Tuesday after Mother’s Day. Um, guys?

that’s a shame. while the mac and cheese was pretty good, the staff/ownership was super great.
Make room for a restaurant that wants to open it’s doors, you know, everyday with regularity.
there is now a sign up saying it will be some sort of italian-ish restaurant come july. people are going in & out all the time with packages.
