Ok, so we haven’t written about Jose in like a week, so it truly is time. But with this exciting news, comes a tad of sad. Our beloved restaurateur and Person Of The Year is going to be a contestant on The Food Network’s Next Iron Chef.
What’s that mean? If he wins, he joins the ranks of Bobby Flay, Mario Batali, Morimoto, etc. etc., and we all get tattoo’s pimping the greatness of The Man. We personally are looking at some square inchage on our left shoulderblade that are just dying for some ink, after all. The bad news? We would see less of the man around town, and he would become part of the rest of the foodie world. Selfish? For sure, but we DID call dibs on him when he was still in the ranks of Stephen Starr’s empire.
Either way, good luck, Jose. You don’t really need it, since, well, we all remember you beating Bobby Flay’s smarmy ass all up and down the Stadium Kitchen.
