Move over Wegmans; back up, Whole Foods; and look out, Trader Joe’s — there’s a new Fancy, Organic and Attractive supermarket on the block. The Fresh Market, a North Carolina based supermarket chain, is growing steadily up and down the east coast and is setting up their second Philadelphia-Area store in Horsham, PA. According to a local message board, their original location in Glen Mills lives up to their promises pretty well. While we may get nostalgic from time to time for the dingy, dimly lit Acmes and Thriftway Markets of yesteryear, we’re glad to see new supermarkets that try to balance cleanliness and conscientiousness with reasonable prices and friendliness.
