Philly Oktoberfest 2009: Bald! (That’s Deutsch for “Soon”)

257Mark your calendars and get your tickets now for this year’s second annual Philly Oktoberfest, sponsored by Spaten Beer, the original Munich Oktoberfestbier! (They’re not paying us, we just like saying that.) This year’s fest will have two drinking sessions on September 19 (first session from 1pm to 4pm, second from 6pm to 9pm), and will be held in the historic 23rd Street Armory (between Market and Chestnut Street). Nom on some German-style food and guzzle down a few mugs of traditional Oktoberfestbeir (see?), some pumpkin beer (chyaa, for serious!) and featured fall-time favorites from:
- Philadelphia Dock Street Brewery
- Yards Brewing Co.
- Slyfox
- Dogfish Head
- Brooklyn Brewery
- Ayinger
- Victory Brewing Co.
- Flying Fish Brewing Co.
- Stoudts Brewing Co.
- Elysian Brewing Co.

…and much more! To make this year’s fest more Germanic, there will also be Biergarten seating and authentic Oom-pah Music! So do your part and wear lederhosen!

General admission: $40 ($50 at the door), includes unlimited samples + 1 lg. cup of Spaten V.I.P. admission: $75 Includes buffet, filled souvenir liter, unlimited samples, one-hour early admission

    I was doing some researches for a friend of mine who organize group travels to the Munich Oktoberfest and i was surprised because one of the first results is your site about an Oktoberfest… in Philadelphia! That’s quite amazing to think that there people in the USA celebrating oktoberfest, but in the end it’s just an occasion to have fun and drink beer!
