Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran of Bindi, Lolita, and now Verde fame are currently working on a new venture to fill the space next to Lolita.
As of now, the name is Bar Bucco and the menu will be largely Mediterranean, which was her specialty when she slung hash at Audrey Claire in the far reaches of G-Ho.
Early talk is that the menu will feature many many pig dishes, as is evidenced by her recent ‘pig tasting’ that was held at superfly Indian joint, Bindi. Also of note is that Lolita featured BBQ the past couple summers, and that might have been a bit of a preview during the pigfests we quite enjoyed.  This all sounds really tasty to us.
Early to Mid-November is the target date for opening, and word ’round the campfire is that unlike Bindi and Lolita, there will be a liquor license. Details as they happen.
