It’s not often that we actually say this, but: Philadelphia restaurant goers, you make us proud. In a recent Zagat survey, it was discovered that on average, Philadelphians tip a whopping 19.6% when dining out. Which confirms a lot of things we’ve always thought about Philadelphians:
A) We’re not really Americans. We’re better.
B) Our empathy for people who are on their feet all day is positively laudable.
C) We value fine service, and don’t necessarily think we’re entitled to it; thus, the more expansive the reward system.
So kudos, Philly: Again, this is not something we say often, BUT — at least in this regard, you are one class act. After the jump, we join Mr. Pink from Reservoir Dogs for an opposing point of view.
