
The second phase of the Midnight Project between Left Hand and Terrapin breweries will be showcased tonight at Monk’s Café. Midnight Project is a collaboration effort between the Colorado and Georgia breweries, and the beers are on a very, very limited brew calendar: One batch, and on sale in only six states.
Last year’s release was Terra-Rye’ZD Black Rye Lager; this year, it’s another medium-bodied beer called Depth Charged Espresso Milk Stout that debuted in September. It’s brewed with chocolate covered espresso beans that were made expressly for this project. The result is a bittersweet dark brew that’s generally getting great reviews and surprising results as a light texture stout that smells like coffee.
For one night only, sample the brew yourself with a six course pairing dinner, the grand finale is the Depth Charged. The event starts at 6pm and will run a reasonable $65 with tax included. It’s reservations only, so call Monk’s for your spot at 215-545-7005. Menu below:
