I had a pork roll and cheese sandwich for lunch today and it is one of my faves. Another brand worth mentioning that makes it is Case.

Scrapple is pretty straightforward and you can actually make it yourself (if you have time and are not too squeamish). But there is a reason you don’t see the Amish selling pork roll at RTM and it is absent from the tables at the Farmers’ Markets, where you can find plenty of scrapple alonside bacon, sausage, etc. In other words, scrapple is a real food and as for pork roll, well, if you like it, keep eating and stop asking so many questions.

some things, like the ingredients of pork roll and scrapple, should not be examined too closely. just happily eaten.
