Philly’s Largest Outdoor (Winter) Farmers’ Market to be Held at the Piazza on Saturday

Picture 8This Saturday (January 16th) from 10AM-2PM the Piazza is hosting Philly’s “largest outdoor winter farmers’ market”. Featuring 20+ vendors, the list includes poultry from Griggstown Quail Farm (Princeton, NJ); produce from Culton Organics (Silver Spring, PA); goat cheeses and yogurts from Shellbark Hollow Farm (Chester, PA); fair trade coffee from Joe Coffee Bar (Philly); herbs, spices and teas from Penn Herb (Philly); artisan breads from Big Sky Bakery in DE; and eggs, chickens, pork and beef from Natural Meadows Farm in PA. It’s not only turnips and potatoes that are in season now, check the end of this previous post for a few of January’s in-season fruits and vegetables.
