The Classier Way to Celebrate Fat Tuesday

Picture 4If you’re still looking to make plans for Fat Tuesday, Reading Terminal Market is holding “Philly to New Orleans,” a free celebration hosted by Beck’s Cajun Café. The party begins with a parade, Dixieland music and owner Chef Beck serving authentic New Orleans cuisine including jambalaya, muffaletta and gumbo. All proceeds from the sale of gumbo are going to the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity to help those displaces by Hurricane Katrina. Chef Beck, a Philadelphia native, has earned three “Best of Philly” awards and has operated Taste! Catering, serving corporate and community clients. The celebration starts at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., February 16th.
