It turns out Philadelphia is home to the second hungriest district in the nation.The list was created by the Food Research and Action Center and was determined by the resident’s “lack of money to buy enough food to satisfy a family’s needs.” [KYW]

Morimoto launched a new lunch menu available starting today. The menu is available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers “hearty noodle bowls, bento-style rice dishes and pub-style sandwiches.” [MealTicket]

Finally, other cities are taking note of the awesomeness that is Philly Beer Week. Boston announced this month that they too would be hosting a beer week of their own, coincidentally overlapping with ours in June. [GrubStreet]
