Philly’s own Iron Chef Jose Garces is opening up his flavorful West Philly Mexican joint Distrito for Weekend Brunch, starting March 6th and 7th. Garces is offering Mexican classics his way, such as Steak and Eggs made with Kobe beef or Torrejas, a French toast dish with berries and cream. Also on offer: Distrito Bloody Maria, with chipotle infused vodka, and breakfast classic Huevos Rancheros. If you’re not up for a Bloody Maria, check out the other Vuelvo de la Vida, Garces’ flirty nickname for his cocktail offerings, which means “Return to Life.” Other cocktails include a Sparkling Margarita with Hornitos Plata tequila or the ‘Ojo Rojo’, a Mexican hot chocolate with coffee, Patron XO, whipped cream and caramel.
