Ever get soused on beer at The Continental? After years of regular attendance and perhaps thousands blown on teriaki filet mignon with wasabi mashed potatoes and bok choy, neither have we. But for the first time in its 15-year history, Stephen Starr‘s signature outpost is offering draft beer. To celebrate, noted beer podcasters Two Guys On Beer are hosting a beer pairing dinner at The Continental Old City for $50 this Monday, March 1 at 6pm. Here’s the really quite nice options:
Togarashi Seared Tuna on a fried wonton chip with pickled jalapeno and orange zest aioli
- paired with Dortmunder Gold LagerSweet and Spicy Glazed Duck with warm soba noodle and vegetables
– paired with Burning River Pale AleBraised Short Rib with horseradish cheddar mash and crispy onions
- paired with Eliot Ness Amber LagerFudge Brownie Sundae with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and roasted peanuts
- paired with Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
