Local rockers Man Man (pictured) have unwittingly touched upon a staple of the Fishtown/NoLibs versus South Philly debate, which we’ll call “Hipster Sophie’s Choice.” In this listicle in this week’s Philadelphia Weekly, the group’s lead singer, Honus Honus, diplomatically splits the vote when asked what their favorite burger is. “Royal Tavern or Standard. It’s a real battle of North and South,” he says, touching on that debate we just described. (Though both are formidable contenders, we regard the Standard Burger as iconic. Can’t deny it.) He’s a little more decided in other pressing Philly food matters: Kenzinger‘s his beer, and Dirty Frank’s gets his nod for favorite waterin’ hole. But the burger thing? Too hot to touch if you wanna keep selling records in both parts of town, apparently.

Sketch Burgers all day, son. All day.
burgers are bad for you
@bonzo
..Yeah, okay…Bad for the cow they came from maybe.
Bands still sell records?
i wouldnt trust a broke hipsters palette, both establishments are neither better than one another, in my opinion they both suck, you want a good burger go to north third, service is better too. and burgers are not good for but your chef isnt your doctor, get over the hype
