Philly Beer Week Opening Tap Tix On Sale Now

Since announcing last May that the sudsy annual tradition known as Philly Beer Week would be making the move from March to the warmer days of June (the 4th through the 13th, specifically) for 2010, we’ve been quietly brooding over the fact that we’d have to wait those few extra months to (over)indulge. Beer Weekend solved that, and now, there’s more sunshine, sunshine: Tickets are now on sale here for this year’s PBW Opening Tap on Friday, June 4. As their website notes, you will be able to take part in these fun-filled Opening Tap activities…

•Raise a toast with your favorite beer in the shadow of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
•Rub elbows with special guests, including Mayor Nutter, Ben Franklin and Joe Sixpack.
•Witness the over-the-top arrival of the mythical Hammer of Glory.
•Enjoy unlimited samples of beer from Philly brewers.
•Beer-friendlly food pairings will be served at an additional price.
•Live music

See, it’s not that far away, right? If you can buy tickets for it, it can’t be that far off! So go get your tix now ($40 general admission, $25 for designated drivers), fetch a beer from the fridge, and remember that the next few months aren’t so long to wait.
