It Took Three Decades to Become a Food Destination?

Philly has arguably established itself as food destination in the U.S., considering we host three Iron Chefs and celebrity restaurateurs out the wazoo. Apparently, though, it took us about three decades to get to this point, since the Philadelphia History Museum is hosting “Three Decades of Dining in Philadelphia: 80s, 90s, 00s” at the Reading Terminal Market on May 20th. Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Michael Klein will be moderating a discussion on the topic along with Jack McDavid of Jack’s Firehouse, Ellen Yin of Fork and Steven Cook of Xochitl. No mention of food being provided during the event, we suggest you just wander around the market to pick up a snack before having to sit through a discussion on food.

Thanks foodie. There will be some nibbily bits provided by Reading Terminal Market vendors.
