The Sunny’ll Come Out, Tomorrow, Er Next Week, Rather

As we’ve reported previously, Cutie McCutiePie Rob McElhenney of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (and Lost!) bought Skinner’s Dry Goods at 226 Market Street with plans to turn it into his very own bar full of awesome. Word via Philly Insider is that the targeted soft opening of Mac’s Tavern is slated for sometime next week (May 24th-ish), with a red-carpet grand opening planned for June 22 while the whole It’s Always Sunny gang is in town for the upcoming season’s location shooting.

We’ve said it before, true believers, and we’ll say it again – we’re solidly behind this deal, and we can’t wait to get forehead-on-bar blasted at this place. Mac’s Tavern’s Facebook page is here – go and like it.
