Two Great Tastes That Taste Great Together: Beer And Power Pellets

John Klein, owner of The Dive near the tippy-top of East Passyunk Avenue, posted yesterday on Philadelphia Speaks that he’s bought the long-shuttered Bella Rosa at the southwest corner of 10th and Watkins Streets in South Philly. His plan is to turn it into Watkins Drinkery, opening sometime between August and October of this year. According to Klein’s post on Philadelphia Speaks, the new spot will feature “6 taps, 30-40 craft and European bottles, and roughly a 10 item menu of creative but reasonable bar food.” The second floor will have pool, darts, and video games (!), which should make Watkins Drinkery a fun addition to the ever-expanding bar circuit down at EPX. Bonus points if they get their hands on a Ms. Pac Man.
