Philadelphia Distilling, located in the Northeast, will host an open house on Wednesday, May 26 to give patrons a glimpse into the sparkling world of craft spirits. The distillery, which prides itself on its use of local ingredients and its homages to history, will offer two free and open-to-the-public tours: one at 4 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. Philadelphia Distilling’s homegrown spirits include Bluecoat American Dry Gin and Penn 1681 Rye Vodka. The distillery is also home to Vieux Carré Absinthe Supérieure (named for the French Quarter of New Orleans), the first absinthe to be distilled and bottled on the East Coast since the nationwide banning of the sprit in 1912. Here’s hoping the tour includes free samples.
