· Victory Brewing Company has partnered up with the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Corp. to create the With Love Philadelphia XOXO’s Summer Love Ale just in time for Philly Beer Week. · Apparently in early 2009, pie was considered a “potentially hazardous substance” and was banned from church bake sales, fire halls, and other civic spaces. A new “Pie Bill” is anxiously awaiting Gov. Rendell’s signature and will allow these bake sales to operate once again come next spring. [Inky]

· Stephen Starr has announced that he’s heading to South Philly and finally making good on his purchase of the Broad Street Diner. Starr is still unsure of the concept for his new venture and apparently is taking suggestions. [PhillyMag]
