Linvilla Orchards of Media, Pa. -– known for its pumpkins, apples, and cider -– will host a rodeo-themed Raspberry Festival on Saturday June 19 (with a rain date on Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can pick their own raspberries fresh from the field and hear helpful hints on how to prepare them — all while dressing up in cowboy boots and bandanas.

Chef David Berg of health food restaurant Lotus Farm to Table will be there. And he’ll be performing a free cooking demonstration at noon, which might possibly feature some raspberries.

Kid-friendly activities will include craft making, a storyteller, costumed characters, face painting, and live musical performances. Plus, On Tour’s live show, Raptors!, will let audiences get up close and personal with birds of prey. And it just wouldn’t be a rodeo without a hay bale toss, a campfire sing-along, square dancing, and pony rides.

After guests are all razzle-dazzle-rasberried-out, they can head to the Linvilla Grill for lunch or dinner.
