Supposedly, overgrown dude-bro extraordinaire Guy Fieri of Food Network “fame” is supposedly at Good Dog on 15th street RIGHT NOW, filming a bit for his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. We at Phoodie HQ would like to ask: Since when is Good Dog a diner, a drive-in, or a dive? Not that we think those giant fried mozzarella patties don’t deserve an entire show to themselves, but if Good Dog is what passes for a dive now, we have some serious recalibrating to do.
Let us know if you actually see Chef Peroxide down that way, and bonus points if you snap a pic of some roquefort stuck in that god-awful goatee.

Hate to give credence to your Yelp hating, but…

not sure about Good Dog, but i spotted him outside Memphis Taproom (also neither a diner, drive-in, or dive) this morning, and Memphis has a sign out front advising that the show is filming there today.
That’s not credence. Everyone knows those yelp reviews are b.s., mostly paid contributors. In this case, drawing the connection to the same jerk owner who bought and ruined Low Bar, imaginatively calling it “The Dive.”
Heard he was also at Memphis Taproom & Honey’s today.
He also filmed at Honey’s yesterday and apparently Memphis Taproom earlier today. Maybe he’s branching off? I certainly wouldn’t consider either of those a diner or a dive.
The fried cheese “patties” have been gone from the menu for more than a year. Guy Fieri was there today, and did interview me about some of the dishes- but not about any fried cheese “patties”. Perhaps you ought to stop by the Good Dog and see what is going on- at least at some point in the year before your “snark” begins?
