The Fair Food Farmstand in Reading Terminal Market is doing a “Meet Your Local Cheesemaker Happy Hour” on Wednesday, August 25th from 4-6pm. The cheesemaker is Ian MacDonald of Cherry Grove (based in New Jersey.) There will be a number of cheeses for tasting, but the big cheese (teehee) is called Maidenhead, a rich, dense and fruity cheese washed with Flying Fish Abbey. So naturally, there will also be Flying Fish Abbey for you to drink. So if you happen to be a turophile (cheese-lover), a locavore, or a freegan, this might be worth checking out.
