What’s Lunch Without A Martini (Or Three)?

File this one under Ways To Ease into Fall: Le Meridien‘s $30 three-martini lunch. From now until the end of September, the hotel’s Amuse restaurant will be serving onion soup, steak frites and three martinis of your choice every lunch hour (11:30-2 p.m.). And since you’re getting three, there are plenty of choices: The Dirty Martini (Svedka, olive juice, regular or blue cheese-stuffed green olives); The Classic Vodka Martini (Stolichnaya, dry vermouth, regular or blue cheese-stuffed green olives); Cosmopolitan (Skyy, Cointreau cranberry, lime juice); Citrus Martini (Skyy citrus, with lemon juice and Cointreau); French Martini (Belvedere, Chambord and pineapple juice); and Parisienne (Hendrick’s, dry vermouth, and crème de cassis, shaken). Even crazier, you have rollover martinis — if you don’t want all three in one sitting, you can redeem the rest later in the month. ROLLOVER MARTINIS.

This is just sad. Can one get a real martini, or is it all this vodka shit masquerading as a martini.
Don’t even get me started on the horror that is that Parisienne abomination to hendricks…
