Philly Beer Week is offering up a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Belgium for one regional brewer and one local beer drinker. The winners will help brew a Philly Beer Week collaborative beer with world-renown brewer Dirk Naudts of De Proef Brouwerij.
All you have to do is be at McGillin’s Olde Ale House on Wednesday, November 17 for a party starting at 7 p.m. At McGillin’s, you will be able to enter the raffle for $5 a ticket. You will choose a brewer that you would like to send to Belgium, and if your ticket gets pulled, both you and the brewer you selected will win the free trip.
In February 2011, Naudts will work with the winners to create a special porter that will be unveiled during the annual Philly Beer Week, June 3-12, 2011. The porter will be part of De Proef’s ongoing Brewmaster’s Collection series.
We’ve always wanted to help create an awesome beer (as well as drink it), but we have no idea which brewery we would select. How about you, Phoodies? Who would you pick?
McGillin’s Olde Ale House, 1310 Drury Street. (215)735-5562
