Yesterday we mentioned PYTs Burger of the week, and today we hear that burgers will be no more. Maybe it’s spring fever. Whatever it is, we’re confused.

Tommy Up emailed us just a minute ago, saying:

“Friends, it’s been a fun year and half serving you tasty burgers. But as of tomorow PYT is turning into EMPANADAS ONLY, Philadelphia’s number one stop for all things empanada.

It’s been an honor serving you up the tastiest burgers and adultshakes in the land, and with all the successes this year…we figured it’s better to go out on top and quit while we’re ahead. We’re keeping the same location and but we’re doing some rebranding overnight into EMPANADAS ONLY…Philly’s number one spot for empanadas.

The ‘Burger of the WeeK’ will sort of continue, but they’ll now be the “Empanada of the Week”.

Tonight is your last night to enjoy our tasty burgers, so get your fill and take a lot of pictures. And get ready for the dozens of amazing empanadas we’re launching tomorrow.

EMPANADAS ONLY is in the Piazza in Northern Liberties.”

But Tommy! Your email handle is PYT Burger. And when you google PYT, it says “Burger Joint In Northern Liberties”. We’re not sure how “Empanada Joint” is gonna fly. Did one of the Piazza residents put you up to this?

This HAS to be an April Fools Joke…
